Both options are made of thermally modified wood. Both are quick to install. The choice depends on taste and the number of people in attendance.

Equipment: what's inside the barrel sauna

A barrel sauna is a complete complex , not just an empty cylinder:

Installation in 3 hours – how it works

A standard sauna = 3-6 months of construction . A barrel sauna made of thermally modified wood = 3 hours of installation . Here's how it works:

STEP 1: Site preparation (do it yourself or order it)

A level surface is required. Options include: concrete slab (ideal), paving slabs, wooden platform, or gravel pad. Dimensions: barrel length plus 50 cm on each side.

STEP 2: Delivery (ours)

We deliver the barrel sauna on a crane. The barrel is fully assembled and ready to use. Weight: 800-1500 kg (depending on size).

STEP 3: Installation (1-2 hours)

We lift it off the truck with a crane. Carefully place it on the platform. Level it. Secure it with anchors (against the wind). That's it. The barrel is standing.

STEP 4: Connection (1-2 hours)

We connect the electricity (if there is lighting or an electric stove). We install the chimney (if there is a wood-burning stove). We connect the water (if you ordered a shower). We check the ventilation.

STEP 5: First Kindling

We show you how to heat the stove. How to regulate the temperature. How to ventilate it. We heat it together for the first time. In 40-60 minutes, the sauna is ready for use. You can enjoy your steam bath that same day!

😟 "A barrel is not serious, it will last 3-5 years..."

Answer: If it's made from regular wood, yes, 5-7 years maximum. But thermally modified wood (treated at 180-220°C) is a different material. It doesn't rot even in water. It doesn't crack with temperature fluctuations. It lasts 30-50 years. We have clients whose barrels have been standing for 12-15 years—like new.

😟 "It's cold in the barrel in winter, you can't heat it up..."

Answer: The round shape is a thermodynamic advantage. Heat is distributed evenly, with no corners where it can be lost. At -20°C outside, the barrel sauna heats up to 80-90°C in 60-80 minutes. It maintains the temperature perfectly. Clients enjoy using it year-round.

😟 "I have 4 acres, it won't fit..."

Answer: A 3-meter barrel sauna takes up 9 square meters. That's 2.25% of 400 square meters (400 square meters). It's smaller than a summer kitchen or a garage. It definitely fits. We've installed barrel saunas on 300 square meters as well.

😟 "Too small, no room to turn around..."

Answer: A barrel sauna is a steam room, not a palace. You walk in, take a steam bath, and walk out. If you want a relaxation room, choose a 5-6-meter sauna with an anteroom or a quad-barrel sauna (they offer more space). However, 90% of clients are satisfied with the standard 3-meter sauna.

😟 "What if I sell the dacha? The bathhouse will stay..."
